This blog post about the best natural mineral sunscreen is in collaboration with Suntribe. I only partner with brands I genuinely use and trust, and all opinions shared here are honest and my own.
Sunscreen and it’s necessity and potential health risk are often discussed. Some people use it daily all year round as a part of their skin care routine, others just when they are on vacation or on the beach. Whatever sunscreen user you are, we all use it more or less.
As it goes directly on the skin, it’s important that you choose a sunscreen that is non-toxic. Mainstream chemical sunscreens often contain UV blockers and ingredients that are truly harmful for our health and the planet (read more about that here).

One of the best natural suncreens I’ve ever used is from the Swedish brand Suntribe. And better yet, Suntribe has been growing in popularity and brought out some new organic SPF products on the market! In this post I will try them out and write my honest review about them.
I will be researching each and every single ingredient in the ingredient list, so you can bet I will tell you when something is even slightly off. Let’s get into it and make sure to read to the end for a special discount!
My Honest Review of Suntribes New Products
Suntribe Organic Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30

Suntribe Organic Mineral sunscreen SPF 30 is a tinted sunscreen that is completely natural, non-toxic and reef safe. Its active UV filtering ingredient is non-nano zinc oxide, which is the safest sun blocking particle there is today.
It gives a broad spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB, immediately after applying it on your skin. Because of the minimal ingredient list it’s also safe for sensitive skin types.
Ingredients: Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil°, Non-Nano Zinc Oxide, Cocos Nucifera Oil°, Cera Alba, Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter°, Tocopherol, CI 77492, CI 77499 (mineral iron oxides), Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract. °Certified organic.
My review of Suntribe Organic Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30
This is the best natural mineral sunscreen there is. It’s effective, its ingredient list is super clean and my skin loves it (I have sensitive combination skin). This is officially my my favorite sunscreen ever, which I recommend to all of my loved ones.
A completely natural sunscreen is essential to me as I have to reapply it at least 2-3 times each day when I work outside the whole day as a gardener. With a completely natural ingredient list, I can smear this on without loading up on synthetic chemicals on my skin. A life safer actually. This version is tinted so it doesn’t leave a white cast. I love how it evens out my skin tone and gives my face a healthy glow. Many people at work have complimented me on my dewy and radiant looking skin, and every time it’s because I’m wearing this particular sunscreen.
After 5 years:
Ever since I tried it the first time in 2021, I have re bought it every time I’ve run out. It’s easy to apply (I warm it up in my hands) and easy to remove at night with an oil cleanser. Another detail is that I love the smell of it as well, and it doens’t contain fragrance. It smells faintly of warm vanilla and tropical coconut, like something you could eat! My only warning with this sunscreen is to be careful with white clothes! It can leave greasy yellow stains, especially around collars or sleeves, but luckily it comes off easily when washing your clothes as usual. At work and on the beach, this is no problem for me. But if you’re wearing your best outfit I would recommend using another sunscreen, for example the daily mineral UV shield.
Suntribe Organic Mineral Tinted Lip Balm SPF 30

Suntribe Organic mineral tinted lip balm is a natural lightly tinted lip balm with spf 30. While it gives your lips a natural rosy look, it also hydrates your lips and protects it from the sun.
It contains nourishing oils like castor oil, coconut oil, sunflower seed oil, coco butter and Shea butter. It also contains Sea Buckthorn fruit oil and vitamin E that heals and soothes your lips when cracked or dry.
Ingredients: Ricinus Communis Seed Oil°, Non-Nano Zinc Oxide, Cocos Nucifera Oil°, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter°, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter°, Copernicia Cerifera Wax°, Candelilla Cera Wax, Glycine Soja Oil°, Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Oil°, Tocopherol, Aroma, Vanillin, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499 (Iron Oxides). °Certified organic
My review of Suntribe Organic Mineral Tinted Lip Balm SPF 30
First impression: At first glance this lip balm seems more like a lipstick because it looks really pigmented! But when you apply it, it leaves only a faint plum color on the lips. The color comes from iron oxides, that are considered safe cosmetic pigments in non toxic products. The lip balm also seems to hydrate my lips well enough. It hasn’t got a taste and smells a little bit like a fresh candy but mixed with zinc oxide, a special but pleasant smell! It also has both vanillin and aroma in the ingredient list. Aroma is a catch-all term for ingredients added to give the product a specific scent or taste. I usually avoid this ingredient in my skincare as it unclear what ingredients it consists of exactly.
After a few uses: This is the ultimate test for this lip balm because right now in the middle of February, my lips are in their most dry and flaky state of the entire year! The lip balm was hydrating enough, but I found myself needing to reapply it often (mind you I’m a lip balm addict even during the summer months). For me, it isn’t hydrating enough for the winter but I think this lip balm is very suitable for the summer, especially with the SPF! I will try it again in summer and write an update here.
After 2 weeks: I still think it’s a normal good working lip balm. It also has a near perfect clean ingredient list, although the aroma ingredient could be skipped. However I cannot help but miss the paper packaging from their older Hemp limp balm. This one is plastic and recyclable, but I’m not a fan of plastic packaging and preferred the paper one. When the lip balm is empty, you can either recycle it or refill it with your own homemade lip balm to safe the world from some plastic trash!

Suntribe Organic Mineral UV Shield SPF 50

Suntribe Mineral UV shield is a natural mineral sunscreen with high SPF. Despite its high SPF 50, it doesn’t leave a white cast on light skin tones and is perfect to use as daily sunscreen on the face. Its broad spectrum UV protecting ingredients are non-nano zinc oxide and titanium oxide.
It also contains additional skin beneficial ingredients like, sodium hyaluronate, sweet almond oil, chamomile flower water, oat kernel extract, soybean oil and hemp seed oil, that makes this sunscreen a great skincare product as well.
Ingredients: Aqua, Non-Nano Zinc Oxide, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Coco-Caprylate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Polyglyceryl-6 Stearate, Non-Nano Titanium Dioxide, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil°, Glycerin, Chamomilla Recutita Flower Water°, Ethyl Ferulate, Polyglyceryl-6 Behenate, Avena Sativa Kernel Extract, Glycine Soja Oil°, Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil, Sodium Levulinate, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Sodium Hyaluronate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium PCA, Stearic Acid, Levulinic Acid, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Sodium Chloride, Xanthan Gum, Tocopherol, Alumina, Glyceryl Caprylate, Sodium Phytate, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Citric Acid, Natural Fragrance, Triethyl Citrate, Vanillin. °Certified organic.
My review of Suntribe Organic Mineral UV Shield SPF 50
First impression: Compared to other Suntribe sunscreens that are oil based, this one is water based. I immediately noticed the white cream is easy to apply and doesn’t need pre-warming in my hands. While it does smell good (a bit like cherries!) I honestly need to say that I don’t like fragrance, especially not in products that go on my face. Because fragrance is an umbrella term, you never know exactly what blend of compounds it exist of.
After a few uses: Suntribes mineral UV shield truly leaves a sheer white layer that is barely noticeable. While other high SPF mineral sunscreens often leave a noticeable white cast, this one is almost entirely invisible. Also, unlike their oil based sunscreen, this leaves a matte finish and doesn’t stain clothes.
After 2 weeks: While this ingredient list is on the longer side, most of the ingredients are actually non-toxic. Alumina is the ingredient that isn’t non-toxic according to EWG, so if you are really strict with this, I would recommend their Organic mineral sunscreen SPF 30 instead. Otherwise, I find it a super user-friendly mineral sunscreen product!
Suntribe Organic After Sun Gel Double Aloe Vera

Suntribe Organic After sun gel is a hydrating gel with two types of Aloe Vera ingredients in it: Aloe Vera water and Aloe Vera powder. Aloe vera is the queen of calming redness and irritation and very healing for the skin after long sun exposure.
It furthermore contains glycerin and sodium hyaluronate, which are two great hydrating ingredients, jojoba oil, soybean oil, pomegranate seed extract and vitamin E to help promote skin reparation.
Ingredients: Aqua, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water°, Glycerin, Xanthan Gum, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil°, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Powder, Sodium Hyaluronate°, Punica Granatum Fruit Extract°, Glycine Soja Oil , Tocopherol°, Levulinic Acid, Sodium Levulinate, Cymbopogon Flexuosus Leaf Oil, Citral°°, Geraniol°°, Limonene°°. °Certified organic °°Naturally occuring in essential oils.
My review of Suntribe Organic After Sun Gel Double Aloe Vera
First impression: I immediately noticed that this is a great quality Aloe Vera product! When I applied it on my hands they instantly felt hydrated and soft like silk. It also smells fresh and truly natural, like the actual ingredients in it: Aloe Vera, lemongrass oil and jojoba oil. I love that there is no additional fragrance added.
After a few uses: This is a great natural after sun product. It’s hydrating, easy to apply, and leaves my whole skin looking glowy and feeling soft. A perfect natural product for when you’re travelling to sunny countries or spending a summer day on the beach!
After 2 weeks: Right now is the middle of February, and so I will have to wait until summer to actually see its effect after a day of long sun exposure (will update this as soon as I do). But after thoroughly checking the ingredient list, I can confidently say this is a perfectly clean after sun gel with quality ingredients in it. Definitely recommend!

My review of Suntribe Natural Gentle Body Wash Peach Infusion
First impression: The shower gel smells deliciously sweet, like a peach candy with a hint of caramelized coconut. As I mostly use fragrance free products or those only scented with essential oils, I’m not sure I would call it a natural smell. The gel is clear and feels smooth when applied over the skin, and I do like the feel of it.
After a few uses: Using it under the shower is a pleasant experience. It foams lightly, thoroughly cleanses the skin and makes the whole shower smell like a tropical dream! I felt clean and fresh after using it.
After 2 weeks: This shower gel does its work! It cleanses without aggressively drying out the skin, which is exactly what I look for in a body wash. However, one thing I don’t like is its plastic packaging. I would prefer a shower bar wrapped in paper to avoid unnecessary plastic use.
Suntribe Organic Everyday Body Lotion Antioxidant Peach
Suntribe Organic Everyday Body Lotion is a hydrating body lotion with nourishing oils and antioxidant properties from peach fruit extract and pomegranate seed oil. It contains nourishing ingredients like soybean oil, shea butter, olive oil and jojoba oil. This gentle and PH balanced lotion smells like peaches, leaving your skin smelling fresh and feeling soft.
Ingredients: Aqua , Glycine Soja Oil°, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Isoamyl Laurate, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Prunus Persica Fruit Extract, Butyrospermum Parkii°, Olea Europaea Fruit Oil°, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil°, Punica Granatum Seed Oil°, Sorbitan Stearate, Sucrose Cocoate, Sorbitol, Lactic Acid, Sodium PCA, Sodium Lactate, Natural Perfume, Xanthan Gum, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Tocopherol, Levulinic Acid, Sodium Levulinate, Citronellol°°, Terpineol°°, Linalool°°, Limonene°°. °Certified organic °°Naturally occuring in essential oils
My review of Suntribe Organic Everyday Body Lotion Antioxidant Peach
First impression: I first tried the lotion on my hands and it truly left them soft and hydrated. It also smells delicious, like peach candy. But for someone who is used to wear fragrant free body lotions and oils like me, I’m again not sure I find it a natural smell. As the lotion is water based, it has the need for preservatives. Both the preservatives used in this lotion (levulinic acid and sodium levulinate) are non-toxic preservatives great for natural products!
After a few uses: I used this body lotion after my everything shower, and I am surprised at how hydrating it was despite it being a water based formula! Usually when using a body lotion, I also layer a body oil on top because the lotion alone often is not enough after a hot shower during the winter months. But this body lotion alone was actually enough to hydrate my skin. It also absorbed quickly and didn’t leave a greasy residue.
After 2 weeks: I can confidently say I love the feel of this body lotion! It’s effective, you don’t need excessive amounts, it’s easy to apply, absorbs quickly and leaves your skin soft and hydrated. While it smells good, I personally prefer a perfume free formula because it’s the absolute best for the skin. Also I’m not a fan of the plastic bottle. Even if it’s recyclable, I’m always on a quest to minimize my plastic use because it’s hazardous for the earth.
