The Best Natural Shampoo and Conditioner

This blog post is about the best natural shampoo and conditioner brand I’ve tried so far!

>>> In the end I have a special offer for you! <<<

If you read my blog post ” 9 Tips on How to Grow your Hair faster ” you will know that one of the tips is to use natural hair care products. This is important because regular shampoos and conditioners often are packed with a lot of unnecessary chemicals that are neither good for your hair, health or environment.

Many regular shampoos aggressively strip your hair from it’s protecting oils, dry out your scalp and therefore damage your hair. Chemically laden shampoos are also bad for the environment, because it all goes down the drain when you’re showering and eventually ends up in our environment.

Even if the text on the bottle claims that the product will be amazing for your hair, you should focus on reading the ingredient list on the back. Because the front of the bottle is just marketing! The ingredient list will tell you what the shampoo actually contains.

If you want healthy and beautiful hair, it’s essential that you use a good natural shampoo and conditioner.

Natural shampoos are quite the opposite of regular shampoos. Instead of the damaging chemicals and harsh detergents, a true natural shampoo often contains plant extracts and nourishing oils. And of course natural shampoos will not poison the environment like the chemical ones do.

The Best Natural shampoo & conditioner: Calia Purifying Shampoo & Conditioner

I have tried many natural shampoos and to be honest, I am not always impressed. Not every natural shampoo can do the job of cleansing the build up on my scalp. And not all ”natural” shampoos are actually natural (make sure to check out the label on the back!! Because unfortunately the word ”natural” is used for marketing as well…).

Then I tried the natural shampoo so many green beauty girls are raving about: Calia Purifying Shampoo. And fell in love!

Calia purifying shampoo is one of the best natural shampoos I have tried so far!
My hair feels really clean, light and soft after washing it. Also I don’t need excessive amounts, about a tablespoon does the job. It also lathers slightly which makes it easy to use. With some other natural shampoos, it often feels like I have to use a lot to get my hair clean!

The conditioner always leaves my hair nourished and soft. It doesn’t weight my hair down or leave a sticky residue behind on the ends, which I feel regular conditioners often do!

Both the products also smells really fresh! Calia shampoos & conditioners are mildly scented with natural essential oils, which infuses a touch of aroma therapy when you are taking a shower <3

Best natural shampoo & conditioner brand

Here are all the reasons why Calia shampoo & conditioner are my favorite!

  • The ingredients are 100% natural.
  • They do NOT contain harsh detergents or chemicals.
  • Almost all the ingredients are organic (red text on the ingredient list, see picture below).
  • They are mildly scented with natural essential oils.
  • They are hypo allergenic.
  • The products are not tested on animals.
  • The products are cruelty free.
  • It is really affordable (12.5€ for a bottle of 240ml).
  • You can bulk buy it in a 1-3 litre jugs, which makes it even more affordable!
  • It is truly effective!

My personal favorite is their ”Purifying organic Shampoo & Conditioner for Normal hair”. This shampoo gently cleanses your hair and contains rosemary and clary sage essential oil. Rosemary is known for its growth stimulating properties!

Where can I buy Calia Shampoo & conditioner?

Calia is a Canadian brand. For you who live in the US or Canada, the easiest will be to buy Calia products from their original website. Unfortunately, I do not have a discount code for you in the US/Canada because this is not a sponsored post for Calia.

For those in Europe there is only one distributor that sells Calia products.
The website is called So Natural Beauty and is based in Belgium. For this webshop I have a discount code for you to get 5€ off your first order! (Not only Calia products, but everything on the website!)

To get the offer, you need to use my sponsor code before you finish creating an account on the website. When you registrate they will ask you to fill in the code or email of your sponsor. To get the 5€ voucher, fill in my sponsor code:  16761406

After you’ve created an account, you will immediately be able to use your discount!
So if you live in Europe and have been looking for a good natural shampoo for a while now, or just want to try Calias amazing products, head over to So Natural Beauty and give Calia shampoo & conditioner a try!

NOTE! The Calia shampoos are currently not for sale on So Natural Beauty, because the products were not notified on the European market. However, this is currently in process and Calia shampoos & conditioners will be back on their website soon!

If you’re based in the UK I found one website currently selling Calia products: www.naturalisticproducts.co.uk

If you are based elsewhere in Europe and don’t want to pay toll tax from the UK, another great natural shampoo & conditioner is 100% Pure Kelp & Mint Voluminizing ShampooConditioner.

*Disclaimer: This post is NOT sponsored by Calia. This post does however contain a sponsor code for the website SoNaturalBeauty that will give me a reward for new members using the sponsor code. Thank you for your support!♡

  1. Hi!
What natural shampoo and conditioner are you suggesting instead of Calia? U
Unfortunately it’s still not possible to buy it on Sonaturalbeauty

    1. Hiii! Thank you for your question, I hope Calia products will be for sale soon again!
A really good alternative I like instead of Calias shampoo is 100% Pure Kelp & Mint voluminizing shampoo! They also have a conditioner with the same name (Kelp & Mint) which you could pair it with, although I personally haven’t tried that one (but it seems great!) Their ingredient list is truly clean and without toxic chemicals. Hope this helps! <3
